Seed starting is a great way to get a jump-start on planting your garden. Yes, it probably is easier to go to the local farmers market, retail store or hardware store to purchase plants that are already mature and ready to plant. However, it doesn’t take much time out of your day to start seed indoors in preparation for planting season.
Yes………It is time to put the winter on hold for a bit and think a head to Spring.
I know there is more winter in store for some and a lot more for others.
However, one way to get my mind off of the snow, sleet, wind, and bitter temperatures is to receive a Spring seed catalog in the mail. I look forward to them every year and feel like a kid looking for toys at Christmas. There is an abundance of catalogs to choose from these days. These catalogs offer a range of seeds from traditional, heirloom, organic, open-pollinated, hybrid.
