Revamped Favorite Breakfast
Waking up and deciding what you want for breakfast can be a challenge on many occasions. Especially if you are off to work quickly, getting the kids ready for school, trying to shed a few pounds, or your family has a weekend carb craving that is just not giving up.
Let’s Talk Pancakes
No shooting the messenger here. I know what you are thinking pancakes are too much trouble for a weekday breakfast. Especially with so many things and people going in many different directions. Also, let’s now forget all of the carbs and calories that go along with them.
HOLD ON….HOLD ON
I have you covered on this one. How about a quick recipe with few ingredients (how about 5)?
I believe I have your attention now!
I am a pretty busy person and breakfast gets to be overwhelming sometimes when trying to stay away from on the go, calorie loaded and carb heavy choices. Let’s face it egg dishes for breakfast can get tiresome after a while.
Oh yes, that lovely stack of yummy warm goodness please. Oh yes and cut those CARBS.
No plug intended here. I have been working with the Trim Healthy Mama plan and wanted more breakfast options for me and my family. Searching through Pinterest I came across a recipe for pancakes by Melissa at The Blue House Blog, that I actually had all the ingredients for (I added a couple of ingredients just for my family’s taste).
Thanks to Melissa’s great recipe I have a winner on my hands. Oh and the family loved them and actually had to make a large batch to satisfy them.
This recipe is so simple and leaves tons of room to make many different variations to fit your families taste. This doesn’t mean throwing the low carb idea out of the window.
Try fresh fruit, sugar-free chocolate chips, low carb syrup (butter, stevia, and maple or vanilla flavoring), almond butter, unsweetened coconut, and the list could go on for days.
This recipe is definitely worth trying and a healthier breakfast choice for your family.
Do you have any healthy versions of your families favorites?
