Blu Ridge Vintage Beginnings
Blu Ridge Vintage has had an interesting year.
We started a blog, traveling to vintage shows and markets, dug deeper into Etsy and Ebay, created a Facebook business page, dipped into the Pinterest well. We stumbled, fell flat on our face, got back up, fell once again, got back up and dusted ourselves off. Now with a new attitude and approach we then began to crawl.
We had a great time at the Asheville Flea for Y’all, it gave us an opportunity to try different styles and display techniques based on our latest finds.
Moving on through the year brought us to September and the Bee Happy Vintage Market in Biltmore Village in Asheville, North Carolina.
We really got adventurous and pulled double duty this weekend in September. We not only participated at the Bee Happy Vintage Market, in Asheville, North Carolina. We also participated in the Farm Fresh Fair in Fountain Inn, South Carolina at The Farm at Rabon Creek.
This was one hectic and awesome weekend, but in the end we met some great people and made lots of new friends.
We bounced on into October and made our way north to Green Living Market in Martinsville, Virgina. Now September brought us two markets in the same weekend. We are off on a 3 1/2 hour track north to Martinsville for a three-day show and then back down south for another the following weekend.
We had such a great time with everyone from the Green Living Market as well as all the other great vendors that attended the show. This was the first year for the Green Living Market show. Despite some cooler temps and a slight bit of rain on the second day, we felt like it was a great success for the everyone.
Well it’s time to pack it up and head south for the Vintage Market at the Park in Greer, South Carolina.
What a beautiful day we had for October and the Vintage Market at the Park show. The sun was out the temps were just right and the people at the show were great. We enjoyed our day greatly.
We took a little break in November, but we were still getting ready for our last show of 2015. This was the Asheville Flea for Y’all Holiday show in Asheville, North Carolina at the WNC Agriculture Center.
When you are young your parents give you advice and most of the time you just smile and some what agree. Trying to move on to a different subject. However, when you have stumbled and face planted a few times the ole’ light bulb goes off. Then you begin to remember the words of wisdom you were told that…..“you have to crawl before your walk.”
Sometimes it does take those stumbles to have you learn the lesson and we learned ours. We hope you enjoyed our pictures and show travels for 2015, it’s been a great year and we are looking forward to meeting many new friends and catching up with some old ones.
We at Blu Ridge Vintage would like to wish each and everyone a blessed NEW YEAR!!!
