It is getting that time of year when the days are getting shorter, night air is cooler, and the craving of warm things begins to start stirring.
I love to cook and even more, I love to bake. I really don’t get the chance very often during the year, however when fall begins the urge starts to build within me to break out the baking pans, measuring spoons, and crank up the oven. My family and I love warm banana nut bread hot out of the oven…..let’s face it we will eat it room temperature or ice-cold. We are not a picky bunch when it comes to our banana bread.
I wanted to find a recipe that was quick and easy, because time is not in abundance in our household. After strolling through the internet for a bit I stumbled across a recipe that seemed to fit the bill and sounded yummy. I found this recipe on cooks.com and I will post the recipe if anyone would like to give it a try. Mine turned out great and made the house smell the yummiest. No one can be in a bad mood when you smell fresh-baked goodies.
P.S. You might want to make two batches. The one loaf was nowhere close to enough for the kids, I believe they ate it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I hope you enjoy it, we did.
